The most memorable moment during this chapter was when the shape behind Mrs. Turner's back was being described. The behind her back was described as being, "shaped up by a cow kicking her from behind. She was an ironing board with things throwed at it. Then that same cow took and stepped in her mouth when she was a baby and left it wide and flat with her chin and nose almost meeting." The reason as to why this part of the chapter was most memorable because I was able to make a connection of Mrs. Turner's features to a friend of my mothers. This section of the chapter described how my mother's friend looks and I couldn't stop thinking about because I had the image of her stuck in my head.

A memorable event during this chapter was when Mrs. Turner started interfering in Janie's relationship with her husband Tea Cake. This event is memorable because she was really trying to convince Janie to leave her husband. Mrs. Turner believed that her brother would be a better husband. Also, she was against Tea Cake because he was so black and Mrs. Turner couldn't stand black people. But Janie didn't really care because her love for Tea Cake was bigger than anything else.

An important event that was memorable in chapter 16 was the section about Mrs. Turner and when she started to interfere in Janie's life. Mrs. Turner doesn't like the negro race so she is satisfied with her deformed face, she believes shes a different kind. Mrs. Turner accepts Janie's caramel color because of her mix of a black mother and white father Mrs. Turner tries to get Janie together with her brother because Mrs. Turner accepts Janie but not her dark skinned colored husband. This event is memorable because Mrs. Turner tries to interfere with her relationship only because she doesn't like her husbands color. As a result Janie begins to befriend Mrs. Turner because her husband has told her the truth about her trying to break them up

A specific event that was memorable during this chapter was where Janie and Mrs.Turner had a talk in Janie's home about Negroes and folks like Janie and herself shouldn't be associated with them. It was memorable because it shows how Mrs.Turner feel about her surroundings and the people within it. It also shows the way she feels about the white folks treatment toward Negroes was the Negroes fault for being so loud and laughing all the time. She puts Janie, her family, and herself on a pedestal where she doesn't intend to come down.

A specific event that was memorable to me was Janie and Ms.Turner conversation. It was ironic that Ms.Tuner is an African American lady, but she hates her ethnicity. She says " ... Ah can't stand black niggers. Ah don't blame de white folks for hatin' them 'em cause Ah can't' em myself." Ms.Turner hates black people, but Janie is black no matter what way she puts it. Ms.Turner arrogance is very unbelievable and her stereotypes shows the type of person is really is.

In chapter 6 a specific event that was memorable to me was MS.Turner talking to Janie at her house. This event was was memorable to me because it shows how, bigoted and racist Ms. Turner is against her own kind black people. In Ms.turner mind white people are more superior than black people and black people (Negros) cause everyone else to suffer.

The most memorable moment in Chapter 16 was when Mrs. Turner was being a rude and being a racist. It was a memorable moment because it was a hypocritical moment because Mrs. Turner is also black. She was being so stereotypical about it, which made Janie and Tea Cake uncomfortable and also angering Tea cake at the same time.

A moment that was memorable in this chapter was how Mrs. Turner would talk about Negroes. She loved to be chatting with Janie because she looked whiter than others, and made her fell better about her characteristics. Mrs. Turner is a racist person who doesn't measure her words.

What stood out to me the most was the conversation Mrs. Turner and Janie had, but Mrs. Turner was doing most of the talking. It totally baffled me that she practically worshiped white people and disregarded her own race. She loved talking to Janie because she had similar Caucasian qualities and felt like she could be beneath her because of that; and she was okay with it. Mrs. Turner was very fond of her Caucasian like body features as well. It's one thing to be proud of your body and who you are as a person, but when you love your body for the wrong reasons, then it becomes a problem. One should not enjoy looking like somebody else, you should be proud of who you are; it's who you are. But people can't blame Mrs. Turner for her ideals, she was taught to think that way, whether or not it was directly or indirectly. Nobody is born thinking that they are better than anybody else, or born having racial prejudice. It's really sad and just a shame to see people blinded by their own ignorance.

The most memorable moment to me was when Mrs. Turner started to interfere in Janie's relationship with her new husband Tea Cake. Ms. Turner tried really hard to convince Janie to leave her husband. Mrs. Turner believed her brother was better for her instead and she was against Tea Cake because he was so black and she couldn't stand black people at all. Janie didn't care what she had to say because her love for Tea Cake was to strong.

The most memorable moment in chapter 16 was the conversation Mrs.Turner and Janie had. Mrs.Turner has the Caucasian background and I was unaware that Mrs. Turner actually praise the white race when she also blacks in her family. Mrs.Turner liked Janie because she could relate to her due to her skin. No one should never be ashamed of who they are especially when it comes to their race that dignify their culture and tradition.
